The voicethread above doesn't show all the comments for some reason. I have tried working on it for a while, but this link allows you to see the comments. I hope you find it helpful. :)
One_syllable_P_words.JPG
This Webspiration site could be used in so many ways! I made a webspiration at the following link (You can also see a preview of it above) with one syllable words starting with the letter P. http://www.mywebspiration.com/publish.php?i=390583a37154 Students could go to this site easily and make word maps, idea maps, or could work on comprehension projects online if you give them ideas to work with alone or even in groups if you had them sharing roles of using the computer and talking more on the side. I really liked how simplistic the instructions were and would use this site again. :) The website had a lot to offer and it included examples of how the account could be used for various activities. The directions were clear and easy to understand making it very student and parent friendly because the sign on took only about a minute to create.

http://www.writingfun.com/ - This website would be a phenominal resource for a classroom where students have access to a smartboard. The site not only gives easy directions for every style of writing you can think of, but it also gives examples of how that style looks. In addition to those wonderful and colorful examples that are easy to read, it allows you to try it yourself. The site makes sure that you are given good enough instructions that you can navagate well around the site. You can use this as an example website for teaching new styles or you could even have your students write simple assignments online and utilize the print option that the site gives. All in all, the site was great to look at, very well organized and a lot of fun for students that enjoy interaction. Teachers could use this on topics that aren't always the most fun to learn about and this even gives them the chance to visualize what needs to be happening on paper. The image above was a creation and example of how to write directions for something. The only thing I didn't like about this site was that you couldn't save the projects from what I could tell. I was only given options to print the file which led me to merely taking a screen shot and showing the example that I made in that way.
